Murder Mysteries in Birmingham

A relatively small market town in Medieval times, Birmingham became a shining beacon of the Enlightenment movement in the Midlands throughout the 18th century. Hailed as the ”first manufacturing town in the world”, it pioneered important worldwide developments in science, technology and economic reform. One of our favourite locations for our innovative murder mystery events.

A strong Anglo-Saxon settlement dating from the 6th century, it sits mighty on the Birmingham Plateau 1000 feet above sea level. The city stretches over what was originally the ancient Forest of Arden and its haunted history lives on in Birmingham’s dense oak tree cover.

The Game's Afoot! A traditional murder mystery evening with lords, ladies, maids and butlers... And Sherlock Holmes himself!

An offer you can't refuse... There's been a murder at the heart of the mob, if it isn't solved soon police are expecting total war!

Macdonald Burlington Hotel

Set amid the stunning architecture of Birmingham’s New Street, the Burlington is a haven of luxury and calm in the middle of a bustling and culturally rich city. Rumoured to have been Churchill’s favourite Birmingham hotel, the venue offers a range of private rooms to host any party and make a murder mystery night  to remember.

Hotel Du Vin Birmingham

A disused Eye Hospital in its former life, Hotel du Vin is an early Victorian red brick building set in the old city centre. We love this venue’s quirky attitude to fine dining and recommend the Sassicaia room for our On Her Majesty's Service. It boasts a number of unique features such as wooden floor boards and an original fireplace.

Macdonald Ansty Hall

Deep in Shakespeare Country sits Ansty Hall, a historic manor house retreat surrounded by eight acres of beautiful landscaped gardens. The Library and the Drawing Room are just right for our period drama Who Killed His Lordship or the old fashioned mafia mystery Murder and the Mob!
